About This Project

This camera mount was added to VH-TVG. The camera was intended to add a forward aspect point of view for news presenters sitting beside the pilot.

We also built the nose camera mount, designed by Aeronautical Engineers of Australia.

TVG flying with the transmit aerial extended. We also built the nose camera mount that has a tilt movement in the installation.

This is the rough prototype to see if it will all fit.

The base is fabricated from welded 4130 tube. The aluminium section is from 6061-T6.

The small finger is a support to stop the camera shaking as the M8 camera attachment was never designed for dynamic mounting.
